I have finally done a drawing of Isaiah that I'm satisfied with! I redid his face 3 times I think... it was worth it though. What is really odd about this character though is the fact that he's not a huge furry beast like my other guys and he's human!
No epic elven ears haha.

Photoshop CS4, Tablet, 3 hours.

Wow! I love this picture! So I would like to request use of it in a star wars RPG if possible.

I'm happy that you like it :3
I have to decline your request though, I'm rather protective of my characters and wouldn't want them to be used for outside use, sorry dear!

...Is it strange that the first thing I noticed was the pattern on his clothing?

Ah, Isaiah... He brings back memories of my crappier artistic days. I think I still have a sketch of him I was going to colour...

It's not really strange that you noticed the pattern first, thats what I kept seeing...
I had to add the green on the collar to bring attention back to his face. Doesn't work so well though.

I don't think it really draws my attention away from his face too much, it was just the first thing I saw. That's just my opinion though.

If it bothers you that much, maybe fade it a little? Make it a less eye-catching shade of green, perhaps. Just a thought.

I wish I thought of that before a flattened the layer. I know I got carried away when I was drawing them on there lol.

Yeah, I tend to worry about that, and I end up never flattening anything and I have a file that has fifty bazillion layers and crashes my laptop if it's been on for more than half an hour.
I think it'd probably be possible to duplicate the layer and carefully work out the green, then lower the layer opacity... But that's probably way too much effort for what you're trying to do!
